Know what I love? A champagne, ivory and peach wedding! I adore Christianne and Darren’s darling beach wedding in this soft color palate. There’s just so much to love…..a ring bearer holding a “Here Comes the Bride” sign, their 2 daughters dressed in tulle and ballet flats serving as flower girls, the bride’s flowy gown, bridesmaids dressed in champagne chiffon, the guys dresses in linen…it all looked perfect together against the turquoise blue water of Waimanalo Bay. April 6th was a very busy day for Oahu Wedding! It’s rare that we take on 2 weddings on the same day, and fortunately we have an amazing staff that allowed us to do so while executing both flawlessly. While one-half of the “crew” was at the Oasis Oceanfront Estate for Lulu and David’s ceremony and reception, the other half was at Magic Island for Khadijah and Djuanyel’s ceremony. I attended both and was blessed to see 2 beautiful, amazing couples on their wedding day.
While we are no strangers to orange, fuchsia and turquoise wedding colors, every couple is unique and there’s always some “moment” that stays with me after each wedding. I have to admit that I was struck by tears as Khadijah processed down the aisle with her father at her side. The embrace they shared before meeting the groom is one that I will remember forever. The tears soon disappeared into smiles and laughter as the ceremony unfolded. Khadijah and Djuanyel celebrated with a flower shower, apple cider toast and wedding cake before heading to the Halekulani for their formal reception. Kai-Photo captured their joy beautifully!
Lulu and David selected the perfect Oahu location to host their destination wedding. The clean lines and neutral tones of the Oceanfront Oasis Estate served as the foundation for their teal and yellow color scheme in a bold yet clean decor style. Upon arrival, their 60 guests from New York and Asia were greeted by a spectacular view of the estate’s signature pool, which leads to the ceremony lawn and the picturesque view of Oahu’s south shore. Following the nuptials, the ceremony lawn was converted to host the reception dinner and celebration. Lulu and David were so open to ideas throughout the planning process and we knew they, along with their guests, would have the celebration of a lifetime! Special thanks to the amazing team of wedding professionals who contributed to Lulu and David’s wedding:
