Nicole and Tyler were married on what felt like one of the hottest, sunniest days at Lanikuhonua, so the surprise shave ice truck was a welcome treat for their guests.  Guests later retreated to the Coconut Club for a casual and relaxed reception.

We can finally squeal with excitement about Diana and Jerry’s wedding that was recently featured in the December 2012 issue of Bride’s Magazine. Humbled and honored by the news of their selection, we were asked to remain silent about the feature until the issue was released.

So now after months of anticipation, we can finally share their wedding details with you!  Diana and Jerry contacted me 7 months before their wedding date.  There was an immediate connection as the bride and I share the same first name, and the way we “clicked” didn’t end there.  I was excited to learn of their wedding plans which were originally an intimate wedding ceremony followed by dinner at a local fine-dining restaurant.  A few weeks later, Diana called me to let me know that there had been a change of plans and we were now planning a full-fleged wedding ceremony and reception because the responses they were receiving from their guests were much higher than originally anticipated.  Read more about it here.

I loved Diana and Jerry’s appreciation for quality and details!  They envisioned their wedding to have a tropical, island inspired vibe filled with vintage-style whimsy.  Selecting a venue to set the tone for their day was a critical element to their vision and they found this at the Oasis Oceanfront Estate.  Then, their wedding began to unfold in the most amazing way….Diana found her dream dress from BHLDN.  Always giddy with excitement when it comes to wedding gowns, I asked Diana to send me a photo of her dress.  To my surprise, the rest of the wedding unfolded using her gown as inspiration.  The “white dress” just wasn’t Diana’s style, and after getting to know her so well through the planning process, I would have to agree!  Needless to say, her unique gown was the focal point of the wedding and every detail was planned around it.  Images by One-Love Photo.

One-Love Photo captured the beauty of this Hawaii wedding in vintage hues. 

Guests were greeted with refreshing welcome beverages that were served in Mason jars embellished with ribbon tied barber straws, and the popular Wailua Soda.

In place of traditional escort cards, guest seating assignments were listed and displayed on a vintage washline card holder.

Guests signed their names on matting that surrounded a montage of wedding details.

Every bit of care was taken to ensure that the decor was soft and subtle so that Diana’s wedding gown remained the focal point of the design.

Assorted macarons were displayed on mini cake stands on each dining table.  A great treat to greet guests as they were seated their tables!

Sometimes a simple wedding cake is all that’s needed and can pack a lot of charm!

“Elim got in touch with us after we created Shiny & Noble’s wedding film.  Elim is great friends with Noble and Shiny and was a bridesmaid at their wedding.  We love traveling so I was thrilled when Elim got in touch with us to create her Oahu wedding film.  Elim & Frank invited us to be with them for 3 solid days and we enjoyed every minute of it.  We captured so much footage that I’m pretty sure I could have created 5 highlight videos!  We got to try out a bunch of cool new gear including an underwater camera housing to capture Elim & Frank snorkeling.  We also captured some beautiful timelapse clips that I put together into a preview film that you can watch here.  We even got to witness one of the funniest golfing expeditions that I’ve been a part of!  Elim & Frank’s Waimanalo Bay ceremony on was exceptionally gorgeous and despite the fact that it was one of the windiest weddings I’ve ever shot, I was thrilled that their vows came through loud and clear.    Planning was executed by Diana Caro-Salvador with Oahu Wedding and we enjoyed sharing Elim & Frank with Rachel Robertson of Rachel Robertson Photography.”
